Last night I dreamt of some violence
Then I woke up alone in my room
The shadows claim my soul
My bones will break for you
In a parked car outside of the airport
You turn and you kiss me
Baby you were golden
My hands still tremble when they touch you
Don’t slow me down too much or you’ll pull me in for good
But I don’t care
Wrote some sad songs
Got you in some trouble
Oh, I first met you when I was young
Now I am your good time
I am your big star
You’re my dogwood
You play your cards right
And my head, it runs wild
I lay around, daydreaming of you
We talked all night
You gave me some advice that I won’t use
Don’t slow me down too much or you’ll pull me in for good
But I don’t care
I wish we were younger
Could’ve gave you some big love
Could’ve saved you from hurt that you once knew
Instead only in bits and pieces
I’d think of you
Don’t slow me down too much or you’ll pull me in for good
That’s what I want
the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy
The second EP from Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart runs from gentle folk to pillowy pop ballads, all perfectly executed. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 15, 2024
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long.
